The medium available for this option is pastel only. With this option you get to choose a colour that will be shaded in the background. If the colour you are looking for is not included in the options, please write it in the text box provided with your contact details, incase I need to contact you to confirm the colour or any details.

Pastels are lovely and soft and still realistic but in a natural way.

Additional personalisation choices which can be added in the text field on shop -

My aim is to create a uniquely person one-to-one service so there are facilities in this package for you to add your own personal touch to your picture making it uniquely personal for you, a loved one , family, friend or as a joint special gift. You do this by adding a title, personal message or any additional personalisations you would like to add and where into the text boxes provided. The second text box is for you to add a little explanation regarding the photographs you have uploaded. I always ask questions about your photo to check which aspects you want to keep in or adapt. Please include your contact detail so I can contact you regarding the photos you have uploaded prior to starting. If a surprise, please add in box best number to contact you on and best time to call.

The title will be on the back of your picture and hand written on the Certificate of Authenticity. A Certificate of authenticity comes with every commission.

Sizes explained -

The image sizes A5 (smallest) A4 and A3 are the rough image size that the original will be. Once the frame and mountboard go on top, your picture will be overall larger. This is a rough size due to the proportion that the picture ends up, depending on the layout, this will affect the collage more but the size wont be the exact A size.

Rough image size guide : 

A5 - 14cm x 20cm

A4 - 20cm x 28cm

A3 - 28cm x 39cm



If you are looking for a smaller, larger or a custom size to fit a space on the wall, please contact me as I can work with you to create a picture the size you are looking for.

How do you you get the finished picture??

You are more than welcome to collect your completed picture from myself at the studio or I can post it to you.

Please select the appropriate collection/postage option when you order. The options are:

- collect from studio

- post within the UK

- post outside the UK/International (framed or unframed)



Pictures are packed carefully and securely to ensure they arrive safely at their new home.

NEW fundraiser - Art for Rhinos

Art fundraiser for Hluhluwe iMfolozi (HIP) Park's K9 response unit, supported by Save the Rhino International May-June 2022


I am joining in the fundraiser, coming together with Lizzie to help raise much needed funds to help fund more dog handlers to maximise the potential unit to stop poachers as they are now focussing on HIP. In the first four months of 2022, 84 rhinos have been killedin HIP Park in South Africa, but this has just been updated; now since 1st January 2022 there has now been 96 rhinos killed in HIP, and this is compared to 102 killed in the whole of KwaZulu-Natal in 2021!!! Scary increase and absolutely heart breaking!


I am pledging to donate 50% of each sale to their canine anti-poaching unit...

I had the honour of being asked to design the first Virtual Birdfair banner and marquees for their website! Really enjoyed the challenge, was fun!

Due to Covid-19, sadly the Physical Birdfair was cancelled but they kindly put on a Virtual Birdfair instead which opened on the 18th August - 23rd August 2020.

I am absolutely thrilled being chosen Artist of the Month, this March by David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF)

It is amazing being a Partner Artist, and Artist of the Month is very exciting, not only as I have been a huge supporter since meeting David when I was 16 and being moved by his talk, also by partnering up this month.

For me it is priceless as I get to give back to wildlife, to which has always been my inspiration to draw and will continue to do so, as 50% of all sales is going directly to DSWF projects, helping save endangered species.

A little introduction about me - Natalie Mascall

'From as young as I can remember, I have always had a huge passion for wildlife, nature and the outdoors. I am a very passionate person. Wildlife is my inspiration to draw.

I have been lucky to have had the opportunity in seeing various wildlife in their natural habitat which is an incredible experience. I have had many special animal encounters that it is hard to pick a favourite. One of these was a night safari in Nepal whilst at Rhino lodge. On one particular night we saw not only a ffishing cat, but also a jungle cat and a civet, as well as hearing jackels calling. That alone is incredible, but also that night we felt like we were being watched by a larger animal, a big cat...it is quite funny how even though we were feeling vulnerable, we were loving the experience and the unknown. We had amazing guides with us, Shambhu and Hammond but this particular night was very mysterious... To continue reading click here 

I started my journey as a freelance artist using graphite pencils, but I fancied adding some colour. I have since become renowned for my realistic pastel drawings but I have always worked in other mediums and with a range of media. 
I had fun teaching myself how to use pastels and seeing the progression in each drawing I did when I was teaching myself as a hobby. I got excited thinking I might actually be able to achieve the detail I originally wanted to get with this messy, colourful medium. 
The thing I love about this medium is the colours, the soft effect  and that I can still achieve the detail/realistic ffine art with them. Over time and keeping drawing, I have created my own technique.

The eyes for me have been my main focus or pull to draw a particular picture. For me they are so fascinating, like windows to the soul, such depth, feeling and expression just captivates me, especially with the great apes, pulling at my heart strings, speaking volumes without words. 
Orang-utans share 96.4% of our DNA and they always look sad due to not having facial muscles like we do. 
The beauty of the animal kingdom for me is that there are no labels, they share the habitat, waterholes and co-exhist and form unusual relationships, showing such compassion, feelings and protection like our own traits, elephants are a great example of this'

This is an example of a more involved pet portrait...for this type of bespoke portrait it would be great to see your photographs and discuss what you are looking for and the size. We can discuss the size difference between each dog or cat.

This type of commission would be a higher starting price as would be a larger size to be able to achieve this number of cats or dogs, or other animals in it.
If you are looking for a smaller picture then maybe a head and neck instead of full body.
