Helping Wildlife and Conservation with Charity Partnerships, Fundraising and Memberships
'Helping Wildlife through my Art'
I support the charities above in various ways from a monthly donation through memberships or sponsorships, to donating a percentage of sales, donating prints for raffles, donating originals and prints for auctions with 100% of the funds raised going to the individual charity.
I have also created my own fundraisers, like skydiving for the orang-utans with 100% of the money raised going to the charity and I pay for the skydive myself.
I use my art wherever possible to raise awareness of the importance of wildlife preservation, conservation issues and the importance of supporting invaluable projects and dedication undertaken by charities. Through the various species I draw, I am able to raise awareness of the various endangered species including the lesser-known wild cats which I love to draw.
Art gets people talking!
I was commissioned by Colchester Zoo to draw a picture to commemorate Rajang's 50th Birthday
Was honoured to be asked. A limited edition was also produced which a percentage goes to The 'Orangutan Foundation' prints on sale at Colchester Zoo and through my Shop. To read more Click here!
Falling in the name of conservation!
Mum and I both paid for the skydive out of our own money. The money raised, with thanks to everyone for the Orangutans (SOS) was £733! Mum raised over £500- for the elephants...
I donated this original pastel drawing for the auction held at D.S.W.F. Wildlife Ball 2014 and raised an amazing £1800!
"Panthera Leo' I drew especially for their special event held annually. This year was their 30th Anniversary so I had to be there and had a table with friends that joined me at yet another wonderful, inspiring, emotional evening!
I donated an A2 size print of 'Magnificent!' for the Wildlife Ball auction 2018 run by D.S.W.F. at the Dorchester and raised a whooping £4,000!!
Being a huge supporter of David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation, I like to help as much as I can by donating my artwork for their events. This particular year during the Wildlife Ball I donated an A2 size print of Magnificent, an african lion which D.S.W.F. framed and it sold at the auction for an incredibel £4,000 to help endangered species! So exciting for what that money can do!
I drew this original 'Panthera Tigris' especially for D.S.W.F. Wildlife Ball 2013 and sold at auction for an amazing £3,500!
This night was an incredible memorable night and was held at the beautiful Coworth Park, Indian Summer themed so I had to draw a tiger for the auction. We had an amazing time and again an inspiring emotional evening where all money raised goes to helping endangered species. For me being able to give back to gives me so much is priceless...
I donated this limited edition print titled Thoughtful Moment and Contemplate, the orang-utan picture that won the category Endangered Species in the BBC WAOTY 2009 and both raised an amazing £610- in the online auction for The Wildlife Fund, which was televised on BBC and even had my name scroll along the bottom of the screen!
"Panthera Leo' I drew especially for their special event held annually. This year was their 30th Anniversary so I had to be there and had a table with friends that joined me at yet another wonderful, inspiring, emotional evening!

Collecting stamps for charities...
What do you do with your stamps?? If you are throwing them away, please stop and read below...
Stamps are collected by many various charities and zoo's as they go on to help with various conservation projects, vital care and research.
This is our stamp collection which is ready to donate. We have donated to various places, including Linton Zoo for many years, which supported their Sulcata giant tortoises. This lot of stamps will be going to the Essex Wildlife Trust.
Why not google charities that collect stamps in your area, or chose a charity from the list as there are number of charities that will come up for you to choose from.
Please note that the stamps have to be undamaged and most charities take any stamps.
They sell them as another way to raise money for much needed funds, another way to support such a charity/a great cause.
Below are other ways I have helped support various charities Through my Art....
New work for conservation...
Lion raises £750- for the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation's wildlife projects at the Wildlife Ball 2022...
Each year I donate artwork to their awesome charity, to which I have been a huge supporter for many years, helping to save endangered species, and heart breaking to say that African lions are now also an endangered species; due to loss of prey species, loss of habitat, trophy hunting and human encroachment have all caused their numbers to dramatically decline.
I hope this helps raise vital funds for wildlife conservation, wildlife needs our help more than ever now.
All items sold through the Wildlife Ball auction will support DSWF's vital conservation work to fight wildlife crime and protect endangered species across Africa and Asia.
They have ground based conservation partners that are both dedicated professional organisations with a deep understanding of the landscapes in which they operate.

Sketch for Survival is a global art initiative run by Explorers against Extinction; now into their 6th year, they run a photography and art competition that runs alongside Invitational pieces (this is my category), and celebrity donations, all of which are available to bid on to help raise money to help save wildlife on the ground where it is so important.
The annual collection consists of original artworks donated by professional and celebrity artists. The collection celebrates the beauty and colour of the natural world while also raising awareness about the threats facing it, including those posed by human activity.
Diverse artworks, from oils and watercolours to sketches and street art, exclusively feature endangered species and at-risk wild spaces. Art supporting conservation.
All artwork donated to Sketch for Survival is available to purchase either through their annual online fundraising auction which takes place every November time, or from their online or pop-up Affordable Art Gallery.
Already, amazing work has been done with the proceeds that have been donated so far. If you go to their website you can look at the previous projects in which the proceeds have gone to and read the stories that have followed.
