Glass Options

The Glass options...

The glass options with any commissions are; normal glass (which is included in the price) or Artglass, which is an additional cost if requested or if you are looking to hang any art in a conservatory, where there is a lot of light. If this is the case I would recommend one of these UV protect glass to not only protect the artwork but to defuse the light so you can see your art and be able to enjoy it without reflections detracting from the artwork.
Please see below where you can read more about this specialist glass and the range it has to offer.
Also below I have included which one I would recommend and a rough size/price guide to the extra costs to help with your decision.
On larger pictures I would need to get a quote for you. If this is the case, please do get in contact with me so I can get a price of the one you are looking for.

Hope this helps and that you find what you are looking for, if you do have any questions please do contact me as I'm here to help.

About Artglass

Artglass is a special glass that protects and preserves the artwork, this is due to new technology that reflects UV rays.

Art Glass AR reveals true colours and textures of your art work. Its anti-reflective coating allows you to view the actual content of art work by reducing unwanted reflections to less than 1%.

The UV protect levels vary but a couple are UV protect and non reflect combined. It is expensive but it is amazing due to looking like there is no glass!...if one was looking to put any artwork in a conservatory, I would usually say to not advisable due to UV but now, it is possible with this glass. Having one of the glass range being 99% UV protect.

The best all rounder option I would recommend is the AR70 and the AR 92, reflection-free and neutral viewing with a 70% or 92% UV filter to protect valuable artwork from fading over time. This anti-reflective coating is manufactured using an advanced magnetron sputtering process to deposit a molecular film. This technique guarantees unrivaled consistency durability and quality.

This company provides this specialist glass care stickers in which I stick to the back of each picture that has this glass. Please do read how to care and clean this specialist glass.

There is a clear glass in this range called Artglass 99 BUT it is a clear glass not non reflect but does protect the artwork from UV rays.

I have samples I can show you.
