• Giclée, pronounced zhee-klay, is a French term meaning 'to spray or to squirt', referring to the way the high-resolution, typically large-format printers work and has since expanded to the archival quality prints that fine art printing produces, this is due to using pigment-based inks resulting in a greater lifespan which ranges between 100-200 years as there is no significant fading when using pigment-based inks. Specialised glass and acid free materials also prolongs the life of any artwork.
