This was a commission I have completed in pastel. They asked me to draw from their own photo from their safari of a lilac breasted roller, a beautiful bird that always attracts ones attention with the flicker of colour as they fly by! The clients were delighted with their picture.

Here is a pastel drawing of a commission which had a meaning behind it so was very personal. This is a green woodpecker, which as a very disctinctive call, easily mistake for bird of prey. Love seeing they fly by as they have a distinctive flight as well and when the sun on them a lovely glint of colour!
